DBMS — Design & Bespoke Machining Solutions — is an independent British engineering business specialising in precision-machined automotive components and bespoke projects.

Founded by Luke Marsden following ten years in aerospace and defence machining, DBMS combines precision engineering with a passion for distinctive vehicles. From classic Land Rovers to Aston Martins, the aim is to create improvements that respect each vehicle’s character and make it more rewarding to own and drive.

Purposeful Design, Precision Manufacture

The details matter, particularly the components used every time a vehicle is driven. The feel of a gearstick, the positioning of a pedal and the finish of a machined surface all contribute to the experience.

Our approach brings function and appearance together. Components are developed with careful consideration for fit, material, finish and their relationship with the original vehicle. Each product should feel like a considered addition, with a clear purpose and a design that belongs.

Design and machining take place in-house in the UK, allowing close control over quality and the flexibility to develop small production runs and individual commissions.

Driven by Enthusiasm

DBMS grows from a hands-on interest in the vehicles it supports. Personal projects, including a Toyota V8-powered Defender and a manual Aston Martin Vantage, provide opportunities to explore ideas and develop components through direct experience.
